Dizziness/Vestibular Assessment
Dizziness is considered second most common complaint, especially with the individuals suffering from head trauma or whiplash injury due to accident. This assessment includes a complete physical and history check and vestibular screening exam to evaluate a dizzy patient. The purpose is to determine if there is any problem with the vestibular portion of the inner ear. It is meant to signify that if dizziness is not due to the inner ear than the possible cause is disorder of the brain or medical disorders like, low blood pressure or due to psychological problems. Recent research suggests that this assessment is more accurate than the clinical examination to determine dizziness.
