Dr. Sev PerelmanDr. Vsevolod (Sev) Perelman, MD, MSc, CCFP(EM), FCFP, CEUS, CHSE-A

Dr. Perelman is a pain physician with an impressive roster of experience.

A graduate of Medicine and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto, Dr. Perelman’s expertise in addition to Pain Management, includes Emergency Medicine, Research and HealthCare Administration. He has graduated from residency in Family Medicine at U of T and has completed a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Perelman is a Staff Emergency Physician at the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He is also a Medical Director of Advanced Cardiac life Support for Canada Heart and Stroke Foundation and a Director of Mount Sinai Simulation Centre.  He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto, and in its’ Division of Emergency Medicine . He is also one of the NBA team physicians working with Toronto Raptors and Raptors 905 teams.

Dr. Perelman has developed substantial research skills ranging from basic science projects to qualitative and quantitative analyses and multicenter clinical and medical education trials. Dr. Perelman’s work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including the “Annals of Emergency Medicine”, the “Canadian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology”, and the “Journal of Clinical and Investigative Medicine”.

He was the recipient of the Canadian National Research Award, the North York General Hospital award for leadership in Family Medicine, and he has has been recognized for his teaching excellence by several awards as well.
